Day Three: Monday July 25
Monday morning was another early morning of course. Overall it was a lazy day. The three of us headed into town to stop by the house to indulge in a little internet activity, take a nap, and finally (and mostly importantly) went shopping at Walmart. Upon returning to the fair grounds we decided to take it easy and just spent the remainder of the day playing at the cabin.

Day Four: Tuesday July 26
Once again we were up bright and early with the sun, still gets up early even though there are no windows in our room and it is pitch black at all hours of the day. Tuesday morning saw Daddy have to head into town to access the internet to take care of a couple of things for work. However Mommy & Emerson helped to entertain the veterans and their spouses who came over for lunch after the veterans program. Emerson was a hit with the lunch guest. After lunch Mommy & Daddy baked some Butterbeer Cupcakes, inspired by a drink in Harry Potter. Mommy did an excellent job and they were very tasty. Daddy interrupted the baking for a work meeting, seems someone has forgotten the Fair means no work.
Tuesday evening Mommy and Daddy prepared supper for everyone, luckily Aunt Lane entertained Emerson. It was Mexican night at the Jackson cabin as we had a Taco casserole, tacos, & Mexican corn. We had special guest that evening: Dr. Dan & Mrs. Marsha, their son Daniel and his family, and Aaron and his family. It was definitely an exciting night with everyone there. We do always enjoy visiting with Dr. Dan & Mrs Marsha.
Day Five: Wednesday July 27
Let the Politician begin. Senator Giles Ward and his supporters meet at our cabin at our cabin around 8:30 to walk down to the square in mass. Emerson was looking sharp in his Giles Ward for senate shirt just like everyone else. We all marched down to the square and congregated around the edges. Giles, who was not feeling well at the time, delivered an excellent speech and had a vocal group of supporters there cheering him on.
After lunch we headed out for a walk with Aunt Lane & Ellington. We first headed to the square to try and taught Aunt Reagan who was judging the youth talent show. She didn't see us and the little ones quickly become tired and ready to move on. We proceeded to walk around the race track were Emerson got to watch his first horse race from the comfort of his stroller. Too bad they run by so fast otherwise I think Emerson would have loved watching them. Finally we headed back to the cabin for a little play time before bed.
Yeah, for the update. We did have a good fair, didn't we?
