For Daddy Day 3

Hi Daddy.  Sorry I was fussy during our call today.  I hope you have a good flight in the morning.  Remember bring me back something good.  Oh and make sure Mr Phil sees at least a few cool things.  Mommy didn't take as many pictures today since I was a little fussy.  We forgot at church and almost forgot at Kindermusik, but here's what Mommy took.

For Daddy Day 1

Hi Daddy.  Hope you made it safe and sound.  I missed you.  Here's a look at what I did today.

Playing at Watson Quality Ford.  They made me stay there 2 hours so I just played and talked the whole time!
Aren't I cute!

Me & Daddy

Before Daddy takes his week long business trip to Shannon & London, we had a quiet Sunday lunch at Abner's.

This is Braves Country!

This past weekend (August 19-21) we took our "second annual"  ;)  trip to Atlanta to see the Braves play.  This year Grams & Emerson joined Pop, Bryant, and I.  When we arrived on Friday night, Emerson and I stayed at the hotel while Grams, Pop, and Bryant went next door to Max Lagers for dinner.  Apparently, it wasn't as crowded as last year.  Oh well!  Emerson and I had fun putting stuff away and splashing in the sink.  Well, I put things away and Emerson splashed in the sink!

On game day, we decided to take a trip to the Georgia Aquarium in the morning.  Emerson loved the fishes!  He was excited, but it eventually just became too much so we left for lunch at Corner Bakery Cafe.  Of course, after lunch, you have to have a nap so that's what most of the crew did.  One day (maybe even sometime next year) I'd love to get Ellington and Emerson both at the aquarium.  I think Ellington would love the play area in the Georgia Explorers section!  (Lane & Robert...start planning!!  No subtle hints here!)  Grams & Pop...you can come too if you want.  :)  Reagan...you're out of luck! Just kidding!

I want a fishy Daddy!

Now...on to Turner Field.  The Braves vs. Arizona Diamondbacks.  We were a little worried about the fact that it was a 7:10pm start.  Emerson has made it though a few M-Braves 7pm games, but he's usually ready to bail before the 7th inning.  But...Emerson made it through the whole game!  Yes, we had to get up and go walk after the 7th inning stretch but we figured we'd be out of the park by then.  Emerson was making friends like crazy including the girls behind us.  That helped quite a bit.  As did crawling all over Mommy.  But the stand up & cheer part was just the most fun thing ever.  And in case you don't follow...Braves beat the Diamondbacks 8-1!

Happy day in Atlanta. Mighty Chipper at bat!

We did come to the conclusion that Emerson hates sleeping anywhere but his crib.  Friday night Daddy had to curl up with him and the Saturday Mommy had to snuggle with him.  Hopefully, this will change but for now Emerson likes to sleep at home!
Sleepy boy

Playful boy!  At least with Grams...

All in all it was a great weekend!  We even got Grams back to Philadelphia in time for her meeting (barely but we made it!).

Neshoba County Fair 2011 (again)

Our 2011 family picture
Day Seven: Friday July 29
Our last full day.  By now, everyone is kind of tired, but Emerson wanted to make the most of his last day.  For the most part, we took the day very easy, but we did go back out to stroll around and  the midway to ride a couple more rides.  Enjoying the time we had left before heading back home was the plan for the day.  While Emerson wasn't big enough to do a lot, we got plenty of fun and games in.  It was great to be able to relax with family and friends for a week.
On Saturday morning Emerson woke up early, but even he managed to go back to sleep for another hour and a half.  Then it was packing up and heading back home to reality.  We can't wait for next year!

Aunt Reagan with her favorite niece and nephew

But Pop I want to ride the big boy ride!

Hope you enjoyed!  Is it 2012 yet?

Neshoba County Fair 2011 (again)

Nope, we're not finished yet!  Just a little intermission...Let's get back to the Fair shall we.

Day Six: Thursday July 28
We're so excited still!  We woke up at 5am today!  We were just too excited to see our friend Lucien Smith's speech.  He was running for Treasurer. After playing and our early morning nap, we headed down to the pavilion for some political speaking.  But after working the crowd for Lucien, Emerson was worn out.  Daddy and Emerson went back to the cabin for a little break while Mommy stayed for the rest of the candidates and our current Governor's last speech (Haley Barbour).
After the speeches, our nap, and lunch; we decided to go ride our first ride.  Ellington and Pops went with us and everyone had a blast riding the carousel and the bumble bee.  Emerson got to ride a horsey on the carousel and held on tight even though Mommy was standing with him.  We just loved going up, down, and around and we were so sad when it stopped!  Daddy took Emerson on the Bumble Bee and we has never been so high before!
After the rides, we all decided to take a trek through the Petting Barn.  Emerson loved the goats!  He wanted to climb into the pen with them, but we're sure the goats wouldn't have liked Emerson trying to bite their tails!
To add to the excitement we went for our first stroll up the the new section to see the rebuilt cabins (an still to be rebuilt cabins) from the Great Fire of 2011.
After such an exciting time, it was time to eat supper and go to bed for the night.
Heading to the political speeches

Going to the Midway!

Oh fun, let me play too!
