Viva Ireland!

finally wearing the shirt Daddy bought me in Galway!

Warm February Days

Since the weather was so nice yesterday and Emerson is feeling much, much better, we decided a after noon outside was just what we needed.  My camera battery died, so we didn't get many pictures.  But, we swang, played with our wagon, ran around, and of course got really muddy since not all the rain has dried up in our backyard yet.  Of course, we decided there were things that needed to be fixed around the house so Emerson took the took box and got to work.  The screwdrivers were just the thing to fix the windows and the water faucet spout.

Daddy's Birthday

Since Daddy was being a stick in the mud and didn't want to do anything fun for his birthday, we just spent some quality playtime together.  Grams, Pop, Aunt Reagan, and Papaw came up on Sunday and we decided to try Majestic Burger out.  I think Emerson enjoyed his grilled cheese and sweet potato fries.  He sure did enjoy checking everything out!  Some days Emerson is clingy like crazy, and others, he doesn't meet a stranger.  The hostess was apparently very interesting and Emerson liked to watch her and wave to her.

Ms Betty watched Emerson on Monday night so Bryant and I could go out.  I just realized I do not have a good picture of Emerson and Ms Betty.  That must be rectified ASAP!

More Firsts

Yesterday, we reached two milestones.  Well, little milestones, but still noteworthy.  For lunch Emerson had his first grilled cheese and ate almost the whole thing!  Apparently, Emerson loves his cheese and putting it between slices of bread was his version of awesome.  He rarely eats a whole piece of toast, regardless of what is (or isn't) on it, so I was happy he eat almost all of it.

We also had our first small cup of whole milk.  We're guessing he liked it since he drank it.  Of course it could have been the spicy pasta that I made and Bryant tried to get him to eat.  Apparently, it was way spicier than we thought.  Pays to test that food before feeding it to Emerson..oops.

Anyway, here's Emerson enjoying his grilled cheese.

Philadelphia fun

Daddy took Emerson for a Saturday trip too see Grams and Pop so Mommy could work on a few things at the house.  Emerson was overjoyed at the ability to climb the stairs at their house all day long!  Even Papaw and Aunt Reagan were around to make the day that much more awesome.  Much fun was had by all and Emerson was all tuckered out by the time he got home.

Party time with Pop!

Pop even took Emerson on a wagon ride!

Winter fun

We haven't done anything really exciting here lately.  Our routine is pretty boring; the YMCA on Monday, and sometimes Friday, Mother's Morning Out/School on Tuesday and Thursday, church on most Wednesday nights, and Kindermusik on Wednesday and sometimes Friday.  We have had some unusually warm weather here lately, so when it hasn't been raining or we need to run errands we play outside in the afternoons.  It's hard to take pictures at the park, so we take them in the backyard.  :)  Emerson's also been keeping Mommy and Daddy on their toes in the house.  Climbing on the chair and ottoman in his room, on the couch in the living room, and anywhere else we can get away with it has become a new favorite past time.  Now he's gotten so good at it that he only needs a little help up, then he gets down with no problem.  Here's a bunch of pictures from our last few weeks...

We may not be doing our stickers anymore but that does mean Mommy and Daddy are ready to stop taking pictures each month yet.  Here's a look at months 13 & 14.
